Butterbeeron
My "Ron Weasley Sucks" kick continues. Seriously, where would Harry Potter and Hermione BE without this guy? IN LOVE, THAT'S WHERE. Harry & Hermione 4evs.

Rickon & Shaggydog
Continuing with my Song of Fire and Ice / Game of Thrones fan art series, here's Rickon Stark and his dire wolf, Shaggydog. One of the first moments where I knew I was going to enjoy this series VERY MUCH was when all the Stark kids were naming their dire wolves, and lil' Rickon named his SHAGGYDOG. Haha, I thought that was superfun. For the most part, the novels are dark, but they do allow bits of comedic respite every now and again. This illustration is, of course, more in line with the comedic respite!

Some Thing Wicked
The Thing is one of my favorite movies, so I figured that it was time to do some fan art. So, here's Kurt Russell happening upon some Thing in the dark!
With the exception of that first cheesy UFO clip, the movie is a mixture of tension, psychological horror and special effects. And that blood testing scene? UNFORGETTABLE. Good job, J-Carp. Good job.

Tyrion
Here's a silly, quick illustration of Tyrion Lannister, from George R.R. Martin's Song of Fire and Ice novels. The first in the series, Game of Thrones, is about to premiere as an HBO show! So a couple of friends and myself are doing some fan art to celebrate it.
I can't remember if it was ever mentioned that Tyrion loved wine, but he REALLY loves wine in this illustration.

The Mountain
Here's a quick, silly illustration of Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane from George R.R. Martin's novel Game of Thrones, which is about to premiere as an HBO series. Which I'm, of course, very excited for.
The @GameofThrones twitterfeed retreated this illustration, which is INSANELY AWESOME and was one of the nerdiest moments of my life, thus far. It drew some nice comments, but some people were mad at how silly it was. Haha, sorry dudes. There's enough dark illustrations out there already, right?

DoodlePugs
This afternoon I randomly decided that I'd draw a set of pugs. But not your ORDINARY pugs, heavens no. I put out a request for suggestions on Twitter and added a bunch of my own. Here are the fruits of my pug labor. Enjoy! Feel free to make your own Doodle Pugs, hahaha.

Twin Mugs
Here are Agents Fox Mulder and Dale Cooper hard at work on a case. Of coffee. Let's hope they don't let it go COLD, amirite? ANYWAY, if you've seen Twin Peaks, you know that Agent Cooper is a huge fan of a nice cup of coffee. I think that in this illustration, he's preparing himself for that initial taste. Mulder is just taking in the whole experience.
I was a big fan of the X-Files back when it ran. That episode where there was that stretchy guy that could crawl through very small spaces stayed with me for a while. As did the one where the astronauts picked up some sort of ghost alien and the dude was staring at his ceiling and it just APPEARED ON THE CEILING AND DROPPED ON HIM. WTF, MAN.
A couple of years ago I went through the first season of Twin Peaks, and it was pretty awesome. The right mix of eccentricity, creepiness and intrigue. I've started the second season, but I'm not very far into it yet. Last weekend, one of my friends requested that I draw Fox Mulder, and then we talked about Twin Peaks. So I suggested that I could draw Fox and Dale together, and that's how we got to where we are today. Looking at two agents drinking coffee. Hahaha.

DrawedBurts
I needed to create a quick self-portrait to put up on my page at DrawedGoods, so here's the random silly thing I came up with this morning. Let's hope my puns don't go the way of these dinosaurs, though!
Album Artwork
Here are some of the illustrations I was just commissioned to do by local singer/songwriter Sean Bruce. He asked for a quick style that is reminiscent of etchings and hatchwork of around the 1890s. There are 11 illustrations total; one for each track. It was a fun project!

Pizza Receipt Art
One of my friends snapped this photo to alert me that Pizzeria Venti, here in Lafayette, is now putting my silly pizza receipt art on display! Every time I eat there, I draw a picture on the back of my receipt and leave it for them. As I frequent the place, they have a nice stack of silliness on their counter.
Well, now taped around cash register! Hahaha.

Very UnOodinary
Ever since Doctor Who came into my life, I've wanted to draw an Ood. So, here he is. Enjoying a drink on vacation. Because you can't serve others unless you serve yourself. OR SOMETHING. I just wanted to draw an Ood, alright? And I couldn't JUST draw one. I had to add a little twist to it. A twist of LIME, perhaps?
Sorry, it's 2am. I should be going to sleep.
Where's the TARDIS when you need it?

BBR Illustrated Type
We're designing some "Thank You" cards here at BBR Creative to show our appreciate to clients and vendors. Here's some hand-illustrated type that I had the opportunity to work up. It was a blast drawing this all out and making it pop in Photoshop. I'm a huge fan of illustrating my own type. It adds a lot of personality to text!
