Star Wars Hats

Wired Magazine just released a big article that listed a bunch of things that“every great Star Wars movie should have.” 

#52 on the list was “Hats.”

Yep. So, I thought I’d expand on that for y’all. Like remember when Lando wore that pimp hat? And when Han was caught wearing an Indiana Jones hat? Awkward. Or when that AT-ST went on a safari? No? Hmmm.

Alien + Cats

In space, no one can hear mew scream. This past Thursday was "SPACE CATS!" theme at DrawedGoods.
It was proposed by yours truly, and this is what I came up with for my contribution :D

Diablo's Kitchen

Diablo's Kitchen It's time for our fourth-ever Super CookNight! For this poster I went with a Diablo III theme, since most of the CookNight crew is currently engulfed by the game. We're going to aim for a "spicy foods vs. baked goods" set of foodstuffs, haha.

"Loki Loves Tumblr"

Though Loki may have lost his crazy alien army, he definitely gained another one through Tumblr. I designed this simple badge for all of his loyal Tumblr supporters. Well, I guess they're fans of Tom Hiddleston, TOO.

The Spider

Here's Varys, aka "The Spider," from the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin. And, of course, Game of Thrones on HBO. For me, Varys is the kind of guy you don't REALLY trust but you can't ever really discover why. And when he says he's doing everything "for the kingdom," you kind of want to believe him. Of the major manipulators and schemers in the series, Varys seems to be the wildcard. You can see that Littlefinger is pretty much in it for himself, and Cersei wants to keep ruling power with her and her family. And everyone else is either working for someone or being blackmailed by someone. So, here's Varys being all secretive and stuff.

HULK DAPS!

Having Hulk around for the victory celebration is always a dangerous thing. NO, Hulk! Fistbumps are NOT allowed. Go play with some cars or something. Sheesh!

Come Hell or Bywater

The guys over at Dirty Coast in New Orleans came to me with this idea for a shirt they wanted produced. The message is that nothing, not even hurricanes and flooding, can keep the Bywater neighborhood residents down. Here's how the design/illustration turned out!

I had started this illustration a while back and decided to finish coloring it to use as my Facebook "Timeline" image, haha. When I began drawing it out, I was just creating random people. But halfway through, I started included people I actually know. Hope you like it!

An illustration I did for a gallery showing last month in Lafayette, LA. Has a little fun with George R. R. Martin's book title "A Dance With Dragons," in the Song of Fire & Ice series. Someone must have been entertained by the illustration because apparently it was sold! Wooo!

Shaun of the Holidays

Here are some quick inkwash portraits of Shaun and Ed (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), a la the movie "Shaun of the Dead." I gave these two illustrations away as part of a holiday Twitter contest. Congrats to Dale and Lauren, who were the winners!

Man's Best Friends

Was just commissioned by a friend to draw portraits of him, his wife and their four dogs. It's for their holiday card! It was a quite a fun project.

Domestic Etch Illustration

My friend Elizabeth Goodspeed puts together a biannual art magazine, Domestic Etch. I asked if I could submit an illustration this upcoming go-round, and she FOOLISHLY AGREED, mwuhahahahahahaha.

Anyway, the theme is "Growth and Decay." I kind of got a little carried away in the Silly Department, but I like how it came out. Very fun. You can probably look it it several times and find something new. For instance, my favorite kid. The one pushing the bubble-mower. OR Boba Fett and the sarlacc pit.

Anyways, I'll let you all know when the mag gets published :D

Eat Free or Diet Hard

Here's the poster I created for our upcoming Super CookNight 3 event. As you can see, we decided to go with a fun Die Hard theme. I'll be making Slow-Cooked MacClane n' Cheese, if that'll give you an idea of what to expect from the menu!

Every Tuesday our CookNight crew meets. It's made of 8-or-so friends here in Lafayette that lurv them some cookin'. We take turns cooking, which allows for some tasty experiments. And we decided to share those tasty experiments with the world. Or, well, our friends in Lafayette. So instead of just one of the group cooking, we ALL cook. And we also invite guests to bring their own dishes. SCN2 was pretty crazy, and I'm sure this one will top it!

Skyrim: Sword & Shield

To celebrate the release of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and to poke a little fun at Skyrim's live-action TV spot, I drew this comic.

Seriously, it's a little silly being a warrior and not bringing a shield to a dragon fight. You're going to get 1) burnt 2) eaten 3) gored 4) all of these things.

So, if you find yourself shieldless in the face of a dragon, please improvise.
