Even comic characters can fall upon hard times.
Help a fellow out, won't you?
There's a joke/pun in there if you look for it. You
may have to mispronounce something on purpose.
This entry's thought process: My first idea was to draw an old king and a line of unprincely princes behind him, each brandishing some devious sort of weapon. Such as poison, dagger, tennis racket, etc. Each son would be intent on usurping the family member directly ahead of him (in the line to the throne).
But not long after that I decided I wasn't in the mood to draw backstabbers and this pun popped into my head and demanded that it be drawn. And besides, I thought it'd be fun to draw Archie.
Very nice!
ReplyDeletevery cool!
ReplyDeleteHIRE ARCHIE!! i get itttttt [happy dance]
ReplyDeletedelightful! well played!
ReplyDeleteReally great! Your take on hierarchy is one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteA hilarious pun! Seems to be going the Jughead way about food :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone!
ReplyDeleteAfter 50 or so years of being friends with Jughead, I think the appetite has spread. :D
Our favorite treat when we were kids was the monthly visit to the comic store. My cousins loved Spiderman and the X-Men but I had a special place in my heart for Archie. I remember my parents being so puzzled at why their daughter was suddenly saying things like, "I'll be back in a jiffy!" ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork!
Hee! I honestly wouldn't have gotten the pun if you hadn't said that was Archie (IknowIknow), but that is awesomely clever!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha! Serious level of clever:)
